Unaccompanied Minors
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
Matthew 19:14
Each year, thousands of children come to the United States alone, without accompaniment, often through dangerous or desperate circumstances. Most of these children begin their migration in Mexico and Central America, and if they are apprehended by the Department of Homeland Security (either via Customs and Border Protection or by Immigration and Customs Enforcement), they are placed in removal proceedings. While their case is being processed, they are either detained or they are placed in homes approved by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Accompany Now! provides home studies and post-release services to these unaccompanied minors through case management and referral to a wide range of services.
