Cancer Care
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
John 14:27
RCHP, like most faith communities, finds itself often praying for those with cancer. In 2019 the congregation was devastated by the death of dear friend and pastoral associate Franco Juricic. Pastor Franco had dreamed of creating an organization focused on cancer care—where RCHP and other congregations of all faiths could enter the cancer space in a way that allowed the resources of church communities (prayer, volunteerism, advocacy, companionship, contemplation) to be given more fully to cancer patients and care givers. We were proud to help launch the New Jersey Interfaith Center for Cancer Care (NJIC3) under our partner organization Congregations Improving Communities.
